We are currently looking for a Team Leader for our client. 

Main responsibilities: 

  • Act as point of contact for regional supervisor and regional customer manager. 
  • Manage daily operations. 
  • Apply policies and procedures while complying with legal responsibilities and employment and safety laws. 
  • Comply with safety regulations, identify training needs, conduct initial risk assessments and participate in accident investigations. 
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance plans, as well as special projects. 
  • Ensure smooth and safe team operations. 
  • Motivate team members to achieve objectives. 
  • Evaluate the quality of team members' work. 
  • Supervise and train apprentice electronics technicians. 
  • Write regular reports to inform Regional Supervisor and Regional Manager. 
  • Complete on-the-job training (OJT) within 12 months of starting contract. 

 

Skills and qualifications :

  • Diploma or certificate in a recognized technology program, such as : 
    • Industrial technician.
    •  Communications technician. 
    •  Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technologist. 
    •  Electronic engineering technician. 
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within the last 10 years in maintaining at least 10 electronic systems or subsystems, including : 
    •  Security systems, communication systems (radio, telephony, public address, intercom, messaging, etc.), and operational systems (access control, key management, etc.). 
  • At least 2 years' experience managing a team of at least two people. 
  • Knowledge of computers and peripherals. 
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and formulate effective technical solutions. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 
  • Interpersonal skills to solve problems and interact with customers. 
  • Communication skills to clearly explain ideas and solve problems. 
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications to be completed within 6 months of starting. 
  • Work at heights, first aid, confined space and WHMIS certifications are assets. 
  • French essential, bilingualism an asset.
