For the past ten years, our client, a non-profit organization, has been promoting social equality among young people. With the help of coaches, they receive all the support they need to develop the skills they need to succeed in life.

Its unique approach to coaching aims to cultivate the potential of these young people by fostering the creation of positive relationships and an environment conducive to their well-being.

We are looking for a Philanthropic Development Manager to complement its strong organization and continue to advocate equal opportunities, instill the importance of youth development through sport.
 

As Director of Philanthropic Development, your role is essential in mobilizing the resources needed to support our mission of improving equal opportunities for young people. You are primarily responsible for the strategy related to philanthropic development, as well as the implementation of activities resulting from this strategy.

You will lead philanthropic fundraising efforts and work closely with the management team to develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies. You will support organizational development by paying particular attention to the search for coherence between the actions taken, the processes in place and the context in which they take place. You will also contribute to fostering full participation by all.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic philanthropic development plan (~ $1.5M budget in 2023-2024)
  • Manage fundraising activities such as fundraising campaigns, benefit events and activities organized by members of the Pour 3 Points community.
  • Implement solicitation, recognition, loyalty and other programs to increase individual and corporate donor base.
  • Manage grants and major gifts (deposits, reporting and follow-up)
  • Intentionally support the questioning of what is useful, relevant and meaningful in terms of the content, processes and context of the Fundraising and Philanthropy unit.
  • Ensure the coherence of the unit's work, composition and operation within the organizational context.
  • Collaborate with communications and marketing managers in the production of donor content (newsletters, social media, letters, etc.) and the optimization of this content for donor acquisition and retention purposes.
  • Keep abreast of trends in the philanthropic community.

Skills and qualifications :

  • A passion for philanthropy and donor relationship management
  • Ability to understand needs, negotiate and cooperate positively with all stakeholders
  • Ability to mobilize colleagues and manage projects in a structured and organized manner
  • Demonstrate a high level of ability to manage multiple files
  • Ability to reason logically and innovatively in approaching problems
  • Demonstrate creativity, originality and curiosity about various topics and trends
  • Ability to set ambitious goals and work dynamically to achieve them
  • An interest in supporting the educational success of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • A certificate in philanthropic management is an asset
  • Ability and interest in working in a collaborative atmosphere that promotes knowledge sharing and peer support.
  • Ability to work independently in an open and friendly work environment.
  • Ability to adapt and tolerate ambiguity
  • Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written)
