Job description :

Our client, a designer and manufacturer of dockside and engineered hardware component solutions, is looking for an Inside Sales Representative.

Reporting to the VP Sales and Business Development, the Inside Sales Representative will have the following responsibilities: 

• Receive customer orders by phone, fax, e-mail or through the sales representative; enter all necessary information into the system to prepare orders preparation of orders; 
• Resolve customer questions and/or problems; liaise with order desk, accounting/credit department, engineering office for technical needs; recommend improvements and corrective measures;
• Prepare sales and delivery quotations; communicate quotations and product specifications;
• Actively use sales techniques to increase sales through the use and promotion of  complementary and/or substitute products and special price items; Proactively contact customers as required and requested, and report on customer activity;
•  Prepare documentation relating to defined sales actions (Excel & Powerpoint);
•  Keep abreast of company products and services;
•  Participate in and undertake any training required or requested;
•  Prepare and produce reports as required and requested.

Skills and qualifications :

• Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken);
• 3 years' experience in customer service and sales;
• Intermediate computer skills with Office suite and web-based applications;
• Proven business development skills; 
• Industry requiring technical knowledge; 
• Autonomous, self-starter and self-taught;
• Experience in customer service; 
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
